On May 24 at 19:00, Boris Berlin, one of the most famous Danish furniture designers, curator of the permanent exhibition of the Designmuseum Danmark, winner of numerous professional awards, including the Red Dot Award, co-founder and partner of the bureau Iskos–Berlin is holding a lecture in the frames of the exhibition "Legends of Danish Design".
In the lecture "Why Chair? Why Denmark?" Boris will talk about his career as an industrial designer and the most interesting projects he has carried on, about the Designmuseum Danmark collection and the creation of its ongoing exhibition, about the Danish furniture design school – its traditions and innovative approach.
Boris Berlin: "We all stand on each other’s shoulders. The thing is not to weigh too much, not to put pressure on the shoulders which you are standing on. That is why something that we design ourselves reduces our weight and serves as the force which lifts us up".
The lecture is organized by the Moscow Design Museum with support of the Embassy of Denmark in Moscow.
